Part Two
I think maybe I was a bit harsh on Kristen Stewart this morning...I've decided it's not her fault..it's the dress.
But anyway moving on..

Alexa Chung cemented her fashion status showing up in a Phillip Lim tuxedo on the arm of the designer. Not sure what I think about her latest look, but it's certainly different to everyone else - do love the shoes
Natasha Poly looked amazing in liquid gold - I love love love the dramatic make up on her

Sienna Miller made her first public appearance with Jude Law, looking beautifully sun kissed and whilst I'm not crazy about the Pucci dress, from the neck up I think she looks really great. Even Jude was looking much better than he has in a long time...they must bring out the best in each other.

Kate Bosworth turned to classic Hollywood glamour for her look and didn't disappoint in this gorgeous Valentino gown.

I was disappointed with Carey Mulligan's choice... and it saddens me even more to say that when I know it was Miu Miu. It's just doesnt seem quite right for the Met Gala.

I thought that Rachel Bilson looked cute in this Louis Vuitton dress from the Fall 2010 collection. It is quite different to her usual style and I think her hair and make up was spot on.

Here we go!! I haven't got long as I have to run to work but....
Young Hollywood were out in force with Emma Watson (wearing custom Burberry), Taylor Swift (not technically Hollywood but still) Carey Mulligan (simple...maybe boring?!), Kristen Stewart (I just can't like it, as much as I try - the hair, the dress it just looks all wrong..why is no one helping this girl?!), the Gossip Girls, Emma Roberts and

fabsugarChloe Sevigny wore Proenza Schouler and although maybe it is a little understated for the Met Gala I love the colour and shape. Plus she's thrown in a little of this Summer's lace and underwear trends in for good measure.
Loving the neutral lip as a contrast to the pillarbox red we are so used to seeing on her.

Like this look on Diane, she has the perfect figure. But it does kinda remind me of the Calvin Klein dress Ashley Olsen wore last year.
Even so she looks gorgeous and has Joshua Jackson on her arm, so the girl can do no wrong.

Met Gala
The year's most exciting fashion event is happening tonight in New York. - The Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute Gala.
The event is sponsored by GAP this year which means many of the glamourous stars are wearing collaborations between the hottest designers and the highstreet label. Gap's creative director Patrick Robinson has worked with labels such as Thakoon, Alexander Wang and Rodarte and others to create gowns based on this year's theme - American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity.
The dresses, to be worn by stars including Jessica Alba, MIA, Kirsten Dunst and Riley Keough, will then be auctioned over the next few days to raise money for the Costume Institute.
I love seeing the mix of designers, models, movie stars, musicians, stylists and editors rubbing shoulders and competing for a place on the best dressed list.
Anyone who is anyone in the world of fashion walks the red carpet up the famous Metropolitan steps.
And unlike most red carpets, designers and stars throw caution to the wind and step out of their comfort zones to experiment with OTT styles and designs.

It's Kylie... honest
the subscribers' cover for ELLE UK June 2010
It's Kylie, with what looks like a small white creature on her shoulder.
I like it but it kinda makes my eyes go funny...
Look forward to seeing the newstand issue cover - I like the fact it has very little text on the cover (a common factor with the subscribers' issue)
I think other magazines should adopt this less is more idea sometimes.

English take over Jalouse
I LOVE Jalouse magazine
but
I'm slightly disappointed by the UK takeover in the new issue.
I love Jalouse because I thought it was different and not just full of the same faces you see in UK gossip mags and 'cool kids' editorials.
So...they've used Alexa Chung on the cover (don't get me wrong, I love her style as much as the next blogger) but I don't like it.
Her editorial inside is much better, but they went a step too far including Peaches Geldof in this issue...ergh.

Think I must have been half asleep when I wrote it....oh well
but
