Same time next year...

Ok so this time last year I posted my aims for the coming year, 2011

1. Party more
2. Visit New York
3. Get fit
4. Have an adventure
5. See the Northern Lights
6. Move out of my parents house
7. Appear in an episode of Dr Who (...ermm...it looks like fun!)
8. Reach 200 followers on this blog (too ambitious?)

Turns out I didn't do too well, so we'll try again for 2012... hmmmmm
I definitely partied more, moving out of my parents house and into central London helped that, so maybe now I should calm it down and get on with something else.

2012
1. Find a new job (I will be officially funemployed from 10th January and whilst I can't wait for a break, I do think maybe I will be needing a new job as soon as my last paycheck runs out...the idea of working freelance for a couple of months has brought out an uncontrollable desire to spend for some reason)
2. Visit New York
3. Blog more
4. See the Northern Lights
5. Get fit and drink more water
6. Launch Chariteatowel and raise a lot of money for Raise The Roof Kenya/SMA Trust
7. Star in a music video
8. Have fun

That should do for a year...
Any further suggestions are warmly appreciated

Let me know if you have set any good resolutions or goals for next year, I might want to steal them... thanks

and HAPPY NEW YEAR! xxx

If ever I need some encouragement...

...to channel my inner Leigh Lezark - hellooooo Rooney Mara!

here she is pre-The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Sweet (too sweet?), pretty girl...though to be honest nothing to make her stand out

What's not to love?

Chloe? check. Arizona Muse? check. Freja? check...
and yet...

I wasn't the biggest fan of this new Chloe collection and I'm even not loving Arizona's new bowl cut.
Freja looks as fab as ever (has anyone ever seen a photo of her looking less than amazing?!).

I guess we will have to wait and see how the final campaign turns out but right now it's just not floating my boat.

Anyone still there?

To say my blog had been neglected is a bit of an understatement...
I am sorry to anyone who still checks to see any updates, last month I posted twice which is an all time low.
First fashion week left me knackered and since then I've been looking for a new job, having been in my current job since graduating 3 years ago. Plus I have started a new project, which if you follow me on Twitter you might have noticed me mention and if not, I hope to share everything with you soon. In the meantime follow @Chariteatowel on twitter!!
So bear with me, I promise to do my best to get back in the swing of things soon. And if anyone wants to give me a job that would be fab haha... London, New York or Paris...

But here we go, start as we mean to go on - How amazing is Kasia in the new Zara November lookbook?
Shame none of the clothes actually seem to be available, but maybe I'll take her lead and go dark too. Her hair colour is beautiful and I'll be her this month please.

Marc's Mix Up

I admit I don't have as much time to scroll through all the shows as I used to, but this season from what I have caught I've been left a little disappointed. Even my NY favourites - Phillip Lim, Proenza Schouler, Rodarte have left me feeling a little flat...
So thank goodness for Marc! Who knew I needed a bin liner skirt and acid yellow headscarf? Well Marc did.

Marc's SS12 collection follows the pastel colour palettes that have been seen all over the NY catwalks this season with added pops of bright yellow. Plus there are subtle nods towards the last Prada AW show - soft textures mixed with plastic layers and pailettes.
Marc is back to his grungy, mixed up best. I love it!

Now let's see what he does for his final Vuitton show, no doubt this will be the show of the season as he goes out with a bang!
