Your Muse?

via models.com

Lily Donaldson reminds us why she is one of the worlds top models on the cover of MUSE magazine.
The last time I saw her she was staring out of a Monsoon window - obviously not in person, she is the next face of the brand.
Good to see her back doing top class editorials!

Here comes Fall

Before Summer has even started - I've been dressing all week with a hopeful nod towards the promised heatwave in London but this has resulted in me mostly being cold.
Ah well, the Fall 2011 campaigns are on there way so maybe it's time to get excited about Winter clothing already
Louis Vuitton and Steven Meisel kick things off with real diamond cuffs and masks, puppies and fur

Met Gala 2011

With no official guestlist to go on we can only speculate about who will turn up to this year's MET gala, hosted by Anna Wintour with Colin Firth and Salma Hayek.
We do know however that this year the Gala is set to honour the late Alexander McQueen and an exhibition marking his 19-year career, entitled "Savage Beauty", so we can hope to see a lot of archive McQueen on the red carpet.

Long time friend and muse of McQueen, Daphne Guinness will be there (in fact she is getting dressed in the Barney's shop windows before the event so if anyone is in New York today, grrrr I'm jealous, and also head to Barney's for 5pm to see her picking out her outfit). Also in attendance will be Gisele, Coco Rocha, Blake Lively (in Chanel with Mr Lagerfeld on her arm), Kristen Stewart, Eva Mendes, Kate Hudson, Bar Rafaeli,

Spring Summer 2005 was one of my favourite McQueen collections ever, I am not sure which pieces will make up the retrospective inside the MET but I hope to see at least some of these on the red carpet tonight.

Also could we be seeing Ms Chung in one of these....
she says in this month's UK Vogue how she prefers to wear tuxedos to large events (such as her Phillip Lim outfit at last year's MET ball) and there are some great choices in McQueen's archive

Hopefully Alexander McQueen will inspire some bold choices on the red carpet tonight.
