Could it be?! Is it she?!

I couldn't be more excited about the rumours surrounding Gemma Ward's return to modelling!
She has long been my favourite and I'd love to see her back in editorials.

Gemma was on the front cover of the Sunday Times (Australian) and looks amazing.
In the interview she discusses her relationship with Heath Ledger just before he passed away, her plans to carry on acting and maybe her return to modelling also.
She is due to tread the boards in Perth from March as the lead in a play for three months and then let's hope we see her again very soon!

Still the best

Photographer: Patrick Demarchelier

I was inspired by a recent post by Knighttcat to dig out an all time favourite.
This Vogue 2007 shoot with Gemma Ward is STILL my fav shoot of all time.
The colours are incredible, the styling is eclectic in a way that hasn't dated, Gemma is simply amazing and it brings a smile to my face every time I see it.

Are there photoshoots that you always go back to?

Doing Bird

Doing Bird is an Australian Magazine that I think comes out every 3 months (please correct me if I am wrong).
Have never seen an actual copy but loving these covers.

Check is out on Myspace here and Facebook here

No Return for Gemma

images from various sources..sorry I can't remember exactly where

I have been meaning to write a post about Gemma Ward for so long now.
She's one my favourite models ever and I always miss her during Fashion week.
She has now announced that she has no plans to return to modelling in the near future :(

Recent photos of her looking larger than her tiny model size0 have appeared on a few blogs and some of the media are blaming bloggers for her decision after they supposedly attacked her over her weight gain. I say let's leave the girl to whatever she does that makes her happy (...not sure if she is still acting?).

But does anyone else miss Gemma from the catwalks and glossy pages?

Vogue UK, April 2004

Still one of my favourite shoots.
This was one of Gemma Ward's first big UK Vogue shoots I think.
Later that year she became the youngest model to appear on a US Vogue cover at the age of 16.
