Style Advisor you'd want

Since The OC you don't really hear that much about Rachel Bilson, unless you actively seek her style out on TFS, but now she has been made the Style Advisor at The Sunglass Hut we may get to see a bit more of her.

Sonia Sketches

Anyone in Paris this month should pop down to Galerie Catherine Houard gallery where, until 24th July, over 200 of Sonia Rykiel's sketches are on display,
I love the naive nature of each drawing and the character that she creates sometimes with just a few squiggles.

Feeling so French

This picture actually has nothing to do with the post other than I like it.

Back in Paris, went to see Sex and The City 2 last night and loved it...not sure if the Paris location helped - skipped home along Boulevard Saint Germain at midnight in only a tshirt (and skirt) as it was such a gorgeous mild night.

As always it has made me need a whole new wardrobe...and salary to match
Have you seen it..which camp are you with
Did you love it or hate it!?

Material Girl

All images from various issues of Material Girl magazine

they also have a blog
Comparisons to Lula are obvious but maybe this is why I think I would love it if I could get my hands on a copy
does anyone know if it is available in the UK?

Lacroix sells up

Due to sad closure of his couture line, last week Christian Lacroix auctioned off many of the Garouste and Bonetti furniture and fittings from his salon de Haute Couture at the French Sotheby's.
I had marked a few pieces down to make a bid (in my dreams) but then missed the sale completely.
If nothing else the catalogue gives you an insight into the secret world of a Haute Couture atelier that most people will never get the opportunity to see.

Who wouldn't want their own changing room?!! so chic!!
Estimate price 2000-3000 euros
Sold for 6000euros!!
I love love love these chairs, and the fact that you get 3 blue and one coral. Would be perfect in my perfect house (which I will live in one day).
Estimate 800 - 1200euros
Sold for 5000euros!!
This chair which had an estimate of 6000 - 8000 euros ended up selling for over 19000euros!
Even the door handles were up for grabs...if you had a spare 6000euros.
