Porte de Vanves

photos my own

The only way to spend a Saturday morning in Paris is to head down to Vanves.
It's impossible not to find something to buy (even if you only have a few euros).
There really is everything here - from old stamps to window shutters, shop signs to old socks, vintage designer clothes and street lamps.

One of my favourite places in the world!

Today I have been mostly...

They are probably all old news, but sometimes I like to share new blogs I am checking out that week with a good friend of mine and I figured if anyone would be interested it might be someone who is already reading a blog.... so this week I have been mostly reading and discovering

  • jjjjound - a bit like my favourite Haw-Lin in that it is a selection of random photos that spark ideas and inspiration they say; The blog posts will have no titles. The photos will be random. No text either. Just great photos. (BTW, this is going to be your favorite blog)
- she loves Paris, Sonia Rykiel, Louis Vuitton and Macaroons...what's not to love

and through Paris Breakfasts I stumbled across Sonia Rykiel's very own blog...

What are your favourite blogs at the moment?

Back to Paree

I am back in Paris and Jalouse is always the first magazine I pick up on arrival.
I know that it is available in the UK but it just annoys me that I have to pay twice the price so
usually just look up all the editorials online.

This shoot I have had on my computer for ages, and I finally came across it in the March 09 Fashion issue at a friend's apartment today.

Walking through Paris

photos by me

I came across this mini exhibition of Vogue covers, sponsored by Sephora, by the Champs Elysees in Paris. I love all the old covers and the way that they were painted/illustrated.
I would love it if magazines today used these styles occasionally rather than just always showing us such airbrushed photographs.
