..for halloween costumes this year? I've never really been one for the sexy costumes and mostly just get carried away with overambitious ridiculous ideas but this year I'm stuck.
Still one of my favourite shoots. This was one of Gemma Ward's first big UK Vogue shoots I think. Later that year she became the youngest model to appear on a US Vogue cover at the age of 16.
all photos are part of the polaroid100project by Lina Scheynius and available for purchase on her website
The Impossible Project have achieved the impossible and convinced Polaroid that there is still a market out there for instant photography.
"Polaroid will re-launch the legendary Polaroid One Step Camera and is therefore commissioning The Impossible Project to develop and produce a limited edition of Polaroid® branded Instant Films in the middle of 2010."
Both these images are from Candy of Strawberry's blog She has quite a Bilson look about her I think. Makes me miss the sun! It's got really cold here, plus it's starting to get dark so early now. Apparently New York is having an Indian summer..London is just wet and cold.
I didn't make it to the Ryan McGinley exhibition in London recently. Moonmilk was shown at the Alison Jacques gallery last month but luckily all the images of his photographs are available on his website...
During Paris Fashion Week I was lucky enough to be invited to look around the Nina Ricci showroom after their SS2010 show. Having spent 12 years as Marc Jacobs right hand man at Louis Vuitton, this is Peter Copping's first full collection after his well received resort collection (which can be seen on the Nina Ricci website and in store now). Peter took us round each piece of the collection, showing us the fabrics, details and work that has gone into each garment. I had already seen bits on Vogue but was not expecting to be so blown away by the intricacy and beauty of the collection. It was possibly some of the most amazing clothing I have ever seen. Lamé, lace, embossed jersey, mother of pearl poppers, bows, ruffles, chiffon, floral and neutral colours. Unfortunately, this will probably be reflected in the prices when it hits the shops. I didn't manage to take any photos whilst there but go to Vogue or Style to see more from the collection.
